CAT exam - Introduction
CAT exam is Common Admission Test
which is computer-based held in India.
The exam scores of the candidate are on the basis
of Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data
Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. The CAT exam is conducted every year by
IIM to select candidates and get admission in business schools.
Ø Eligibility criteria
The candidates must satisfy the
following points before appearing for CAT exam:
1. The
candidate should hold a Bachelors degree with not less than 50% or equal CGPA.
If the candidate is physically disabled and belongs to ST or SC class then those
aspirants can appear for CAT exam with 45% CGPA.
2. Students
who have appeared for their final year board exam are also eligible for the CAT
exam.
Ø Format
CAT exam consists of 100
objective type questions. There are 3 sections in the test. 60 minutes is
allotted for attempting each section. The order of the section is same for all
the candidates.

sheet. After 10-15 mock tests you have attempted, you will be very clear about which
topic you are attempting less, where your accuracy is weak and will increase your speed. When you will be finalizing a
strategy for the CAT exam, this data will help you in deciding how to write the
paper. It will definitely help you to achieve excellence.
7) Balance the preparation for all three sections of
CAT exam. It is very important to devote
more time to your weak areas and work on
it until you are good at that section and topic.

every mock test you attempt for the preparation of CAT exam. This way you will not
